Wedding Tux Rental: The Smart Choice

Wedding Tux Rental: The Smart Choice

Some people think that weddings are expensive. The preparation and time allotted for different things such as food, invitations, and souvenirs are really mind boggling. Apart from that, choosing the right clothing can be challenging. Many are stressed out when they hear the word wedding because they know that they need to have their gowns and tuxedos made. On the other hand, there are options available if you do not want to experience financial dilemmas on your wedding. Aside from gown rentals, there are also tuxedo rental shops available today so men can also rent their outfits for special occasions. If this is your first time to look for wedding tuxedos, here are some tips to keep in mind.
Coordinate
It is important to coordinate with the organizers of the event to finalize the colors to be used on the wedding day. If you are the groom, you need to make sure that you choose a color that blends with the bride's wedding gown. If you are one of the groom's men, make sure that you talk to the other guys to ensure that the style of the tuxedo that you are getting is the same as theirs. You would not want to look alienated just because you chose a design that looks way too different from what they are wearing.
Check Out Different Designs
There are several kinds of tuxedos for weddings. Lapel style tuxedos are preferred by many grooms because they look very formal. Some prefer the notch lapel type partnered with a bow tie, while some like the peaked lapel style which has a narrow spacing between the lapel and collar. The shawl collar style is a rounded jacket lapel that has a continuous tapering line and offers more length which can be a good choice for those who want to look slimmer.
Ivory versus Black
Some people say that it is better to choose Ivory colored tuxedos because they symbolize purity while some prefer black as it looks more formal. Conversely, it all depends on the wedding motif. If you want to be on the safe side, it is best to choose light colors if you are attending a day wedding and dark colors if you are going to an evening wedding.
Compare Prices
As soon as you have verified the type of tuxedo that you need to wear, you can create a list of the tuxedo rental shops in your area and compare the prices of tuxedo rentals. You can gather contact numbers and addresses of shops within your area through the use of Internet and call them one by one to know what their rates are and what types of tuxes they offer. If you are unsure of the size that you need, you can proceed to the nearest tux rental shop and to get your exact body measurement.
Overall, you do not need to spend much just to get a tuxedo. You just need to keep these tips in mind and compare your options so you can get a tux of your choice. By renting a tux, you can save more cash than having one done for you plus you do not have to worry where to keep your outfit after the event because you just need to return it after.

Thrifted Shoes

Thrifted Shoes

I adopted a dog recently and since then all of my shoes have become chew toys. I told myself that shoe shopping can get a little crazy and spontaneous so I decided to limit my purchases to 3 pairs and they would all be thrifted. After a few consignment store visits I was able to walk out with a pair of Zara euro-looking sandals, Deena & Ozzy Platforms and some swanky mesh oxfords. I had been looking for a basic black shoe for a while since my dog’s favorite color to chew was (lucky me) black and I desperately needed a good replacement.

The straps are elastic and they’re super comfortable. The Zara sandals caught my eye because of the color blocking and metallic tip – they look super European I absolutely adore them and haven’t seen anything like them before. The final pair was some breathable ocford flats. Last summer was a hot one in Atlanta but I still refused to stop wearing oxfords with no socks. This pair has a mesh/woven material that will let your feet actually breathe!

I bought all three shoes for a combined total of 45 dollars. You cannot beat it and though they are incredible they will NOT be going for sale on theseodds.com but I will certainly be on the look out if you guys express any kind of interest in these styles/ brands. If you’d like me to go shopping for a certain look or style that you don’t see on These Odds, email us at info@theseodds.com.

Nicole Richie In White Jumpsuit

Nicole Richie looks absolutely flawless wearing this J Brand pant suit with T by Alexander Wang black crop top, during her appearance on the Today show. I love how she manages to look sleek considering that jumpsuits aren't the most flattering for most people. Keeping the same colour scheme, she capped it off with a pointed top black and white pointed heels by Saint Laurent.

If you want to get this look, you can opt to wear this Ralph Lauren Black Label white jump suit, Asos black crop top and this  LAMB Janaye heels.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I finished reading this book in just two weeks. And that's rare for me as I usually finish a book in a month. But this novel is so simple and easy to read that I fly through the pages faster than expected. Though it's not my favorite novel, I must say the author did well on it. Here are some of my favorite lines from the book.
  • That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.
  • I fell in love the way you sleep; slowly then all at once.
  • Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.
  • The marks that human leave are too often scars.
  • Because you are beautiful. I enjoy looking at beautiful people. And I decide awhile ago not to deny myself the simple pleasures of existence.
  • You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.
  • Some people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them," I said. "Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway."
  • Books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.

Weekend Favorites

Florals and Pastels

Tapestry Floral Charlie Trousers / Addie Sweater Tee / Coral Wave Shift / Lenny Niemeyer  Mimosa Bandeau Maillot

I know I have been away for quite a while. That's because I have been so busy with so many things that I barely got time to just sit down and do what I love. Nonetheless, I'm back and for my weekend favorites it's all about florals and pastels. I'm loving this Lenny Niemeyer  Mimosa Bandeau Maillot, which I think is just perfect for the summer and this Coral Wave Shift that you can wear to work and easily transition for a night out.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Denim Daze

Denim Daze

Denim has come a long way from the all denim couples outfit that landed Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake on the worst dressed list at the 2001 American Music Awards, we all want to forget that! The denim trend has come back with a bang this year! There have even been some all denim styles that should probably be left to the adventurous type for now!

This trend is so versatile and can be dolled up for a night on the town or super casual for some Saturday shopping and coffee with the girls. If you are going for the more casual look, you could go for the obvious destroyed denim cutoffs and a v-neck tee tuck in on the front or take a bit of a fashion risk and rock a denim button up! If you want to add some sophistication to your look go for a denim button up tucked into a pair of black high waisted dress shorts and your favorite pumps! If you are going for more of a clean cut style check out Topshop! It is one of my favorite stores, especially for denim.

If you are not sure if you are comfortable enough with this trend to spend too much money, start small by looking through the racks of Forever21 for an affordable piece that suits you! They have many different styles and patterns of denim shirts, shorts and vests! Perfect for someone who might not be ready to commit! Either way, fashion is all about taking some risks and this is a great one to take! It is easy to style and leaves you with so many options.

A Stress Free Soak

A Stress Free Soak

Stress Free Soak

J Crew Vintage Short Sleep Pajama Set / Diptyque Freesia / Diptyque Rose Duet / Diptyque Baies  / Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey Bath Oil /  Jo Malone Red Rose Bath Oil / Philosophy Field of Flowers Water Lily Shower Gel

Sylvia Plath once said, “There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them.” I would have to agree. I can’t think of anything more relaxing than drawing a hot bubble bath. Showers are quick and easy, but a bath should never be rushed.

I've found that the right combination of bath products and a peaceful environment are the secret to enjoying the experience. Silence your cell phone, turn off the TV and prepare to pamper yourself.

Dim lighting is key after I spend the day under fluorescent lights. Diptyque candles are the best out there and the floral scents will transform any bathroom into a flower garden within minutes. Philosophy makes the most luxurious bubble baths and the scents are never overpowering. Just a capful or two poured into warm water will create mountains of bubbles and leave my skin feeling like silk.

My ultimate bath time secret is adding just a few drops of olive oil to the tub while the water is running. The next day my elbows and knees are incredibly soft and hydrated. After I’m done soaking I dry off and apply moisturizer while my skin is still damp. Body oil feels heavenly after a bath and I’m in love with Jo Malone’s line of body oils. I use just a few drops and my skin feels healthier and has a sexy, dewy glow.

After my bath it’s time to get dressed for bed. Menswearinspired pajamas are comfortable and chic—the last thing I want to do is put on something tattered or unflattering after treating myself so well!

I try to set aside time once a week for a bath. I always wake up the next day with a clearer head and softer skin.

What beauty treatments do you use to unwind?
