You can never go wrong with a statement piece like this and I think it's a must in every girl's closet. It just adds a boost of character to your look and it doesn't take much effort. Just make sure it doesn't contract much to what you're wearing.

Over the weekend I manage to grab a few stuff that is slowly becoming a favorite. I dropped by at Sephora and these are the stuff that I got.

• Ardell black demi wispies lashes

Also, since I've been reading a lot about Paris lately and so I decided to buy a copy of Lunch in Paris by Elizabeth Bard. It's a charming memoir and I can't wait to do a full review on it once I'm done. Hope you ladies liked this haul!

I've eaten at marmalade pantry a couple of times but I only manage to try their brunch menu. It wasn't spectacular compared to the others. And so last Saturday I got the chance to try their mains. I was a bit excited and ordered red snapper for dinner. It must say, it wasn't all good yet it wasn't bad either. It was just right. But I think the dessert made up for it. Their sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream was so good! Like I had food orgasm. That good. If I were to come back to this restaurant, it would only be for their dessert.

Usually I would come across looks that pairs white lace with denim tops or bright bottoms, but there is something with pairing white on white that makes a lady look delicate and feminine, even sexy. When it comes to white lace, play around with different fabrics and volumes of tops or bottoms. It would add more character into your look but I wouldn't mind wearing lace all over, I think it looks sexy and sultry whether you're in a party or the beach.

The thing about getting fashion inspiration from coachella is that you know you're getting something edgy, rock and roll with a touch of feminine flair. I like combing all three. Though people know me as a girly girl type, still I won't mind wearing a sheer pink top with matching booties.

We've all seen the classic braid look and this is a new way of doing it! I love this. It's so perfect for spring. You can make your braid as thin or as thick as you want. I prefer to have it thinner as it looks more subtle and understated. Match it with a floral sundress, some bejewelled flats and you got your self a chic boho look!

I know it's only spring but lets do a  fast forward to street style trend report for fall 2012. Among these trends, I adore furs and  strategic layers. The former allows you to look chic and polished in an instant, whether you're wearing the classic LBD or a casual outfit. The latter is an art of mixing textures and patterns without looking like bag of clothes. We don't want that of course. But no matter what type of trend you feel like trying on this season, you'll surely look stylish and yes very fall 2012!

• Limit myself to a slice of bread a day
• Cook and pack lunch everyday
• If I get lazy, I can always grab a yogurt or tuna
• Cook dinner 
• Stay away from desserts

Cookie dough and peanut butter are just some of my favorite foods to eat and combining the two doesn't get any better. I stumble upon this recipe and knew immediate that I have to share it. I mean really, who doesn't love this types of candies? I would totally eat this anytime of the day. Did I mention lunch? Yes, these are so good I'd totally skip a decent meal just so I won't feel guilty eating it. Who can't resist right?

I don't know what's up with me but lately summer is getting into my skin. I guess I just miss home so much. By this time, everyone has their on summer getaway plans and apparently that's not feasible for me. Despite the rainy weather here, I'd like to think I can still do my own version of summer to-dos. Here's what's on my list.

One thing I like most about this city is all the hidden bistros that you'd only know upon recommendations from friends or colleagues. It's one of it's charms that I greatly appreciate and because I enjoy discovering and trying out new places to eat, this was one of those that were on top of my list.

Tucked in a quainted little neighborhood of Yong Siak St, you can easily miss this place if you don't keep an eye especially when you're going there at night. But the patience is worth it. The food and ambiance are just as good as what most people would describe. The highlight of the meal? Definitely the beef cheeks and chocolate and pistachio souffle. It just melts in your mouth and the taste gets better after each bite.

If you happen to be around this area give this place a try. It's definitely one of those place you wouldn't want to miss.
