2011 has been such a good year for me and if I were to describe it in one word I’d say it was eventful. A lot of things has changed. I think the rollercoaster ride that I went through earlier this year kind of serves me well in the later part. I won’t go into details but I’d share with you some of the major highlights of my year.

Over time I've collected a good number of MAC products. Mind you, they don't come cheap but I do find that investing on good quality makeups tend to last longer than most drugstore brands. I think whenever I want a good blush or lipstick I always visit my MAC counter. Given the wide selection they have, I always find something that I like. Honestly, ever since I started buying their lipstick, I never fail to grab a shade or two if I wanted something new. It just became my go-to brand.

Your Arrival

• Thou shall arrive within the first 30 minutes.

• Thou shall introduce thy guest upon each introduction.
• Thou shalt not bring any unexpected or uninvited guests. Sorry party crashers.

Drinking

• Thou shalt not drink excessively.
• Thou shalt avoid mixing drinks.
• Thou shalt not present thyself as a hot mess.

Eating

• Thou shalt not overeat.
• Thou shalt not double dip. Ever. Ew.
• Thou shalt not walk around with multiple hors d’oeuvres.
• Thou shall toss used napkins and toothpicks in the trash.
• Thou shall check for leftovers in thy teeth before engaging in conversation.

Conversation

• Thou shalt not corner anyone into a conversation the entire night (unless he’s cute).
• Thou shall avoid topics pertaining to business and other potentially unpleasant matters.
• Thou shalt no complain.

The Departure

• Thou shalt not “pop in” to the party for 10 minutes and leave.
• Thou shall bid the host adieu if it is an intimate gathering. However, if it’s a big party, thou shall quietly leave instead.
• Thou shalt not overstay thy welcome. (Don’t linger…It’s creepy.)
• Thou shalt not ever leave a birthday party before the cake has been served.

I have a thing for cocktails and surely by now you've noticed it with my post here and here. But I can't let this season pass without sharing a classic holiday eggnog martini recipe with a twist. Cinnamon bun? Sounds good to me.

Cinnamon Bun Eggnog Martini

4 ounces Cinnamon Bun Bite infused vodka
4 ounces non-alcoholic eggnog
2 ounces Irish cream liquor
